My Reflection on ALL

During this year, I have finished a project called “ALL” which it required my group mates and I apply the knowledge and techniques learnt in Sem A and B on the project.

In Sem A, I have learnt a new program language called “Python”. Professor demonstrated basic skills of Python to us and we started using Python to perform simple program. When we began mastered well the basic Python, we started learning more complicated one in Sem A. As I remembered, I could not follow what the professor requested at the beginning and I felt lost and confused. However, because of I have a group of nice and friendly school mates, I can catch up with the schedule assigned after 1-2 weeks. They taught me patiently and encouraged me not to be afraid that. I felt blessed and touching.

Soon, my group mates and I need to start the project. At the beginning, all of us raise difficult idea and we are like losing directions. Fortunately, we found our own way and started the project. Although the project need include the knowledge learnt in business course, for us, the most difficult part is the programming. We are stressed about how to design a program base on our knowledge but to maintain its complicatedness in the same time. Therefore, our final decision is help a store to build a POS system to facilitate their operations. Miracles are not always happened. We faced difficulties quickly. It is because some of our group mates, including myself are using MacBook (unix) so that the cgi files cannot open but we have planned to apply the cgi skills learnt from the lessons in it. Thus, we were vexed. We tried to solve the problem by finding help from professor and do some research on it. Luckily, we got a solution within one week.

Last but not least , overall stages of the project were smooth since our group mates will help each other dedicatedly and we were not afraid to raise questions if we faced a challenge. I am glad and pleased to become one of the team member in this group. I love my group mates and I hope we still can have a chance coordinate with each other next year. I will learnt from the mistakes and perform better in my next year project.
